ஸ்வீட் பீடா (Paan-Sweet Betal)
Ingredients
Betal leaves / Vethalai – 4
Betal nuts / Paaku – 4 tsp
Gulkand – 4 tbsp
Edible chuna / Calcium carbonate – pinch
Sombu – 2 tsp
Cloves – 4
Shredded coconut – 2 tbs
Sugar crystals – 2 tbs (optional)
Tutti frutti – 2 tbs (optional)
Directions
Wash the betel leaves and remove the stem
Spread the chuna little bit all over the leaf’s back side
For one leaf add betal nut 1 tsp, gulkand 1 tbsp, sombu – 1/2 tsp, shredded coconut – 1/2 tbs, sugar crystal 1/2 tbs, tutti frutti 1/2 tbs
Fold the leaf as shown in the picture
Punch the Betal leaf with clove
Sweet betal ready
