சாட் சட்னி (Dates and Tamarind Chutney)
Ingredients
Dates – 6
Tamarind – 2 tbsp
Jaggery – 1/4 cup
Chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
Salt, water as needed
Directions
Soak tamarind in water for 1 hr
Chop the dates into small pieces
Filter the water without smashing tamarind and take the soaked tamarind (pulp like) in a sauce pan
Take all the other ingredients to the saucepan
Pour some water and bring that to boil
Change the flame into sim for 15 to 20 minutes
Let the cooked mix cool down
Take the mix in a blender and grind well
Strain the chutney
Tamarind dates chutney ready
Notes
If you wish, you could add few drops of lemon juice.
