Mutton Kothu Parotta

மட்டன் கொத்து பரோட்டா (Mutton Kothu Parotta)

Mutton kothu parotta is my favorite food. We often buy purotta and kothu parotta in my hometown but after my marriage, I don’t have any option to get fresh purota. I started to use frozen parotta and that almost matches the taste of fresh parotta. In recent years, I started to prepare kothu parotta with frozen parotta. We can make Egg kothu parotta, Chicken kothu parotta, Mutton kothu parotta. Here we will prepare with mutton.

Ingredients for Mutton Kothu Parotta

Frozen parotta – 8
Onion – 1 medium (chopped) 
Tomato – 2 (chopped)
Pepper – 1.5 tsp 
Cumin powder – 1.5 tsp
Garam masala – 1.5 tsp
Egg – 3
Mutton dry – 1/2 cup
Oil – 2 tbs
Salt as needed 

Directions

Heat a dosa pan and cook the parottas.
Crush the cooked parotta into small pieces. 
Heat a big pan and add chopped onion. 
Pour oil and sauté the onion until golden brown. 
Add the chopped tomatoes and sauté until mushy. 
Now add the spices pepper powder, cumin powder, garam masala and salt. 
Also add the mutton dry.
Mix everything well and turn the flame into low.
Beat the eggs with salt and little bit of water. 
Pour the beaten egg and add the crushed parotta. 
Stir the parotta and egg well. 
Use two spatula in two hands and cluster the parotta without leaving hands.
Mutton kothu parotta ready.
Serve the மட்டன் கொத்து புரோட்டா with salna.

Notes

You may use any type of dry mutton gravy for this recipe. 
Also you may use homemade parotta for this recipe. 
Cluster the egg immediately otherwise it will be in big size.
If you have small dosa pan, prepare this recipe with only 4 parotta with 2 eggs at a time.
If you don’t have two spatula, you can use tall silver tumbler with sharp edges as well.
