மட்டன் சாப்ஸ் – Mutton Chops
Mutton chops is a meat cuts from the ribs of goat. It’s very easy to prepare and it takes very less time only. It is a very healthier red meat and is good for building muscles in body and also boosts immune system. Rib bones emits lots of juices that enhance the taste of the gravy. It goes well with rice & rasam or chapathi, naan or even idly and dosa.
Ingrediens for Mutton Chops
Pressure Cook
Mutton chops – 1/2 kg
Tomato – 2
Chilli powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Salt as needed
Spices to Grind
Black pepper – 1 tbs
Cumin seeds – 1 tbs
Chopped onions – 1 cup
Oil – 2 tbs
Chopped Ginger – 1 tbs
Chopped Garlic – 1 tbs
Final Preparation
Sesame oil – 2 tbs
Fennel seeds – 1 tsp
Curry leaves – 1 spring
Pepper powder – 1 tsp
Cilantro for garnish
Directions
Pressure Cook
Add all the pressure cook Ingredients to a pressure cooker and add enough water.
Pressure cook for 15 minutes.
Masala Preparation
Heat a pan and add oil.
Then add pepper and cumin seeds.
Sauté a little and add chopped onions, ginger and garlic.
Stir fry the ingredients until the color changes to golden brown.
Let the sautéed ingredients cool down completely.
Grind them into fine paste.
Prepare Gravy
Heat oil in a pan and add fennel seeds, curry leaves.
After the leaves pops, add the ground masala paste.
Stir the masala paste until the color changes.
Add salt and pepper powder then mix well.
Pour the bone broth (pressure cooked water).
Heat the pan in high flame to let the gravy to thicken.
After the gravy thickens, add the cooked mutton chops and mix well.
Cover the pan and cook in medium flame for 5 minutes.
Turn the flame into low and let the oil comes out from the gravy.
Switch off the flame and garnish with cilantro.
Mutton chops ready.
Serve the mutton chops with rice & rasam or chapathi, Naan.
Tips
Adjust the cooking time, depending upon your need of gravy level.
