தக்காளி சூப் (Tomato Soup)

Ingredients for tomato soup
Tomato – 4 medium size
Onion – 1 medium size
Garlic – 4 cloves
Bay leaf – 1
Butter – 1 tbsp
Sugar – 1 tsp
Corn flour – 1 tsp
Milk – 1/4 cup
Tomato ketchup -2 tsp
Pepper – 1 tsp
Salt as needed
Directions
Chop the tomato, onion and garlic.
Take a pressure cooker and add butter. Keep in medium flame.
Add bay leaf, chopped onion & garlic.
Stir fry them until golden brown.
Add chopped tomato and stir fry until mushy.
Add sugar, salt and 1-2 cups of water then pressure cook for 3 whistles.
After releasing the pressure take out the bay leaf.
Use the hand blender and puree the tomato.
Filter the tomato in a big strainer.
Add 1 cup of water, ketchup, pepper and salt to the soup.
Take a small bowl and mix corn flour and milk.
Add the corn flour and milk mix to the soup.
Place the soup pan in the stove with full flame.
Stop the flame when the soup starts boiling.
Tomato soup ready.
Serve the soup in a bowl.
Notes
If you don’t have hand blender, blend that in a mixie or blender.
When you’re using the blender wait until the pressure cooked tomato to cool down.
