நெத்திலி மீன் வறுவல் – Nethili Fish Fry
Nethili Fish fry is a spicy fish fry which is easy to make and tastes delicious. I love to eat fish fry especially Anchovies. Anchovies are one of the healthiest fish available. This is because anchovies are high in omega-3’s. These are healthy fatty acids essential for brain development. They are also important for heart health. Anchovies are small fish, which typically means that they are very low in mercury. It’s perfect match to eat with rice or serve this as appetizer. We can use frozen Nethili fish for this recipe as that won’t change the taste.
Ingredients for Nethili Fish Fry
Nethili fish/ Anchovies – 1/2 kg
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbs
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Chilli powder – 1 tsp
Pepper powder – 1/2 tsp
Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
Corn flour – 1 tbs
Oil – 1 tbs
Salt as needed
Oil for pan frying
Directions
Clean the fish completely.
Add the cleaned fish in a mixing bowl.
Add all the other ingredients and mix together.
Marinate the mixture for at least 30 minutes.
Heat pan with oil as shown in the picture.
Add marinated fish one by one.
Fry the fish in medium flame.
Turn the fish into other side when it turns to golden brown.
Take out the fish when both sides cooked well and crispy.
Nethili fish fry ready.
Notes
Don’t over crowd the fish in one batch.
Split the batches and cook.
If you’re using the frozen fish, thaw the fish first (follow the directions given in the pack).
If you’re using the fresh fish follow the link to clean the fish.
