காளான் சூப் (Mushroom Soup)
Mushroom soup is my favorite one. My family always wish to have some soup before lunch. This soup is very simple to prepare. It took less than 30 minutes for me to prepare this soup.
Ingredients for Mushroom Soup
Mushroom – 1 cup
Spring onion whites – 1/4 cup
Ginger – 2 tsp (chopped)
Garlic – 2-3 tsp (chopped)
Black pepper powder – 1 tsp
Sesame oil – 1/2 tsp
Soy sauce – 1 tsp
Water – 3 cup
Green onion – 1/4 cup (chopped)
Salt as needed
Directions
Slice the mushroom into small pieces.
Heat oil in a saucepan and add the chopped garlic, ginger.
Sauté them for a minute.
Chop the white onion into small pieces.
Add the chopped white onion and saute until golden brown.
Also add the sliced mushroom and saute for a minute.
Now add Pepper powder, soy sauce and salt.
Mix everything well then add 3 cups of water.
Boil the soup in full flame until bubbles come.
Turn the flame into low and cook the soup for 15 minutes.
Switch off the flame and add the chopped green onions.
Mushroom soup ready.
Serve the soup in a bowl.

Heat a pan in medium flame 
Pour oil 
Put ginger and garlic 
Now add white onion and mix 
Saute until onion turns brown 
Add mushroom 
Gently mix and sauté 
Add pepper, soy sauce, salt and 3 cup water 
Cook with lids closed for 15 mins in low flame 
Soup ready, swich off the flame 
Add chopped green onion 
Serve soup in a bowl
