பாசிப்பருப்பு ஃப்ரை (Moong Dal Fry)
Moong Dal Fry is one of my favorite snack. In my college days, I always wish to buy the Halidram’s brand as it tastes very good. The salt and crispy taste makes me to addict for that. After a longtime I tried this recipe in my home. My kids like this snack very much. This recipe is very easy to prepare and beginner level recipe.
Ingredients for Moong Dal Fry
Moong Dal – 1 cup
Red Chili Powder – 1/4 tsp (optional)
Salt as needed
Oil for frying
Directions
Pre-preparation
Soak dal in water for about 2 – 3 hours.
Filter the water out completely.
Spread a cotton cloth or paper towel.
Spread the dal and let it dry for an hour.
Once it is dried, take it in a plate.
Fry the Dal
Heat oil in a frying pan in full flame.
Take a stainless steel mesh strainer and add dried dal.
Once oil is hot, place the strainer in hot oil.
Stir occasionally until bubbles stop
Take out and place it in paper towel.
Continue all batch until done.
Wipe fried dal in paper towel little bit to remove excess oil.
Transfer the fried dal to mixing bowl.
Add salt and red chili powder, then mix well.
Moong Dal Fry ready.
Notes
Don’t dry the dal more than 1 hour, then it won’t cook evenly. Use metal strainer for frying and handle it carefully. Fry the dal in full flame.
