கொத்து கறி வறுவல் (Kothu kari Varuval)
Kothu Kari varuval is an easy recipe. We can prepare this in a short time. This is perfect match for rice and idly. Whenever I prepare this kothu Kari varuval my son finish that without rice.
Ingredients for Kothu kari Varuval
Kothu Kari or ground mutton – 1/4 kg
Small onion – 1/2 cup (chopped)
Tomato – 1.5 tomato
Sesame oil – 1.5 tbs
Fennel seeds – 1/4 tsp
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbs
Curry leaves – 1 spring
Turmeric – 1/4 sp
Cilantro for garnish
Salt as needed
Masala for Grinding
Coriander seeds – 1.5 tsp
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Black pepper – 1/2 tsp
Red chilli – 6-7
Directions
Roast the spices
Take a pan with 1/4 tsp oil and heat in medium flame.
Add all the masala ingredients and roast it.
Let the spices cool down.
Grind all the spices into fine powder.
Stir fry
Take big pan with oil and add fennel seeds, curry leaves.
Add the chopped onion and ginger garlic paste.
Sauté them until onion color changes into golden brown.
Add chopped tomatoes then stir that until mushy.
Add the ground masala, turmeric powder, salt.
Mix well then add the ground mutton.
Stir everything well and close the pan.
Reduce the flame into low and cook minced mutton mix for 5 minutes.
Pour 1 cup of water and cook in full flame.
Finishing
Reduce the flame when the gravy thickens.
Keep the gravy in low flame for 5 minutes.
Switch off the flame and garnish with cilantro.
Kothu Kari varuval ready.
Serve keema mutton varuval with rice.
