உடனடி சாம்பார் (Instant Sambar)
Instant Sambar is easy to prepare and takes less time as well. If guests comes unannounced, this sambar can be prepared in short notice. You can use any available vegetables for this recipe.
Ingredients for Instant Sambar
Toor dal – 3/4 cup
Brinjal – 3
Tomato – 2
Onion – 1
Drumstick – 1
Radish – 1 medium size
Carrot – 1 medium size
Turmeric – 1/4 tsp
Hing – 1/4 tsp
Masala – 1.5 tbsp
Chilli powder – 3/4 tbsp
Pepper powder – 1 tsp
Cumin powder – 1 tsp
Salt as needed
Cilantro as needed
Tempering Ingredients
Mustard seeds & urad dal – 1 tsp
Curry leaves – 1 spring
Oil – 2 tbsp
Directions
Process 1
Wash Toor dal and wash the veggies
Chop the veggies in desired size
Take all the ingredients in a pressure cooker
Add 3 cups of water and mix everything well
Close the pressure cooker lid and turn on the flame full
Put on the weight when gas come out
Cook the sambar for 7 whistle
Process 2
Take a small pan and pour oil
Then add mustard seeds & urad dal
After the seeds cracked add curry leaves
Open the pressure cooker after the gas is released
Pour the tempered ingredients into the pressure cooker
Mix well and check the salt level and consistency
Instant sambar ready
