பன்னீர் (Homemade Paneer)
Homemade paneer is very simple recipe. We can make this within 15-20 minutes. Most of the kids like paneer but store bought paneer became hard after cooked. Homemade paneer stays always soft. We can use this paneer in gravy and stuff in paratha too.
Ingredients for Homemade Paneer
Full fat milk – 5 cups (1 liter)
Lemon juice – 1/4 cup
Directions
Boil the milk in full flame.
Wait for milk to boil and try to come out.
Stop the flame, add the lemon juice little by little.
Milk started to curdle.
Take a big bowl and place a big filter with cotton cloth.
Filter the curdled milk and collect the milk cheese.
Wash the cheese in running water.
Drain the water by tightening the cotton cloth.
Option 1
Hang the cloth somewhere for 3-4 hrs.
Open the cloth and slice the paneer into small pieces.
Option 2
Flat the paneer and cover the paneer with cloth.
Put some weight on the paneer for 3-4 hrs.
Slice the paneer into small pieces.
Homemade paneer ready.
