Kalakala, (கல கலா) Shankarapali or Shankarapara is a popular snack in Gujarat, Maharashtra Karnataka and Tamilnadu. In Tamilnadu this is called as kalakala. It is traditionally enjoyed during Diwali. It can be sweet, sour or spice depending upon how it is made.
This is an easy to make snack (can be done in 15 minutes) and it is perfect for a tea time. In Rajapalayam, you can find this in special mixure and it is one of my mom’s favorite and she always digs out for this in the mixure.
Kids will love this biscuit a lot and because of simple procedure, it is a perfect recipe for a beginner to try.
