கேரட் பொறியல் (Carrot Poriyal)
Carrot Poriyal is an easy and healthy side dish that kids love to eat. Carrot has lots of health benefits. Carrots are a particularly good source of beta carotene, fiber, vitamin K1, potassium, and antioxidants. Grated carrot tastes better when you make poriyal.
Ingredients for Carrot Poriyal
Carrot – 2 big
Dry red chilli – 3
Small onion – 2
Oil – 1 tsp
Mustard seeds & urad dal – 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves – 1 spring
Shredded coconut – 1 tbs
Salt as needed
Directions
Peel skin of the carrot and grate that in a grater.
Take a pan and pour oil.
Add mustard seeds and urad dal.
After the seeds cracked, add onion and red chilli.
Saute them for a minute and add salt as needed.
Now add the grated carrot and mix well.
Cover the pan and cook in a medium flame for 5 – 10 minutes.
Stir occasionally to avoid the carrot stick at the bottom.
After the carrot fully cooked switch off the flame.
Spread the shredded coconut over the carrot.
Carrot Poriyal ready.
