கேக் பால்ஸ் – Cake Balls

Cake balls is an easy and no cook recipe. These balls are small spheres of reconstituted cake crumbs, coated with chocolate or frosting. They are made by blending cake crumbs with icing, shaping them to form a ball and then dipping them in a coating, such as melted chocolate. Cake balls were originally created from the crumbs of leftover. This recipe is one of my family’s all time favourite. Also this is one of the best gift option for kids and friends.

Ingredients for Cake Balls

Cake crumbs – 2 cups/ 5 cup cakes
Vanilla frosting – 2 tbs
Candy melts – pink & white
Coconut oil – 1/4 cup
Sprinkles of any type
Dark chocolate – 1 piece
Food color – red

Directions

Prepare Balls

Crumble the cupcakes completely.
Add the vanilla frosting and knead well.
Make 15 equal size balls using tablespoon.
Roll the balls without any crack.
Place the balls in cookie sheet over parchment paper.

Decorate Balls

Melt 3/4 cup of white candy melts in microwave for 2 minutes.
Add 2 tbs of coconut oil and mix well.
Dip the cake balls as shown in the picture.
Place that again in the parchment paper for drying.
Apply the sprinkles before the frosting dries.
Add food color of your choice if you want vibrant colors.
Use one piece of dark chocolate to the white candy melts to make chocolate flavour frosting.
After 10 minutes, place all the chocolate balls into a cupcake liners.
Pack the chocolate balls in a tin.
Cake balls ready to give it to your loved ones.

Notes

Don’t add more coconut oil as it will make the coat to become very thin.
Depends on your cake’s moisture, add frosting.
You may use any flavor leftover/ store bought cake for this recipe.
I used 85% dark chocolate for this recipe.
