Home made samsa and spring-roll sheets
Samsa sheets are really a simple recipe. Within 30 minutes we can prepare sheets for samsa and springroll at home. We can store the sheets in freezer for up to 3 weeks.
Introduction to Samsa Sheets
All purpose flour – 1 & 1/2 cups
Oil – 2 tbs
Water – 1/2 cup or as needed
Salt as needed
Directions
Preparing Dough
Take the flour and salt in a mixing bowl.
Mix the flour and add water little by little.
Knead the dough for 5 minutes.
Cover the flour and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Rolling Sheets
After 30 minutes dust the rolling pin or rolling surface with some flour.
Now, roll dough into 1 inch thickness.
Cut the dough into round shape with cookie cutter or lid (see picture).
Place the small round shape dough and brush with oil then drizzle some flour.
Cut more smaller round shape dough.
Overlap 2 to 3 round then roll it into thin rectangle shape.
Finishing sheets
Heat a dosa pan and place the rolled dough.
When you see bubbles flip into other side.
After 20 seconds take that out.
Split the overlapped sheets when you can handle the heat.
Now, cut the sheets as shown in the picture.
Continue preparing sheets for all dough.
Homemade samsa and spring-roll sheets ready.
Save the sheets in a ziplock bag.
