சாம்பார் வடை (Sambar Vada)

I usually prepare சாம்பார் வடை for road trip to have it as evening snack. It fills the stomach and makes travel more joyful.

Ingredients for Sambar Vada

Sambar – 3 cups
Urad dal vada – 8 nos
Cilantro & onion for garnishing (optional)

Directions

Prepare Sambar separately.
Also prepare Vada batter.
Take 3 cups of sambar in a pan and heat in low flame at the same time
Heat oil in a frying pan and put vada batter
After a minute flip the vada to other side
Do not fry vada so crispy
Take vada from oil
Put it in the sambar immediately
Leave it soak in sambar for 10 – 15 minutes
Sambar Vada is ready to serve.
Garnishing with cilantro and chopped onion is optional.
Serve the vada in a bowl or plate

Notes

Prepare sambar with less vegetables
If you fry the vada crispy, it won’t absorb the saambar properly
