Rose Milk

ரோஸ் மில்க் (Rose Milk)

Rose milk is a flavored milk, famous in Tamilnadu. Regardless of age, everyone likes this recipe. It’s very easy to prepare and tastes best when served cold. Also this is one of the favorite for kids including those who don’t like regular milk.
This recipe is an inspiration for many other varieties and Bandung is one of them, which is famous in Malaysia.

Ingredients

Milk – 4 cups
Sugar – 1/2 cup
Rose milk essence – 1/2 tsp

Directions

Boil milk in a big pan
Add sugar and mix well until it dissolve in milk
When the milk started raising switch off the flame
Add the essence and mix well
Let the milk to cool down completely
Transfer the cooled milk into to a bottle and keep it in refrigerator for at least 2 hours
Serve the rose milk

Notes

If you using thick whole milk, take 3 cup milk and 1 cup water
If you feel the drink needs more color, add few more drops of essence
Don’t add too much essence, because it will change the taste
If you’re using the same brand essence (buy here), this measurement will give you a perfect result.
