பாலக் பனீர் (Palak Paneer)
Palak Paneer is one of the healthy, protein rich recipe that can be prepared easily by everyone. Kids usually love paneer, so combining it with spinach, we can let them eat green as well. Follow my recipe for tasty gravy.
Ingredients for Palak Paneer
Spinach – 250g
Paneer – 200g
Tomato – 3
Onion – 2 (Finely chopped)
Ginger garlic paste – 1tsp
Kasuri methi – 1tsp
Fresh cream or milk – 2 tbs
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Green chilli – 3
Oil – 1/2 cup
Salt as needed
Spice Ingredients
Coriander powder – 2 tsp
Red chili powder – 1tsp
Garam masala powder – 1/2 tsp
Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder – pinch
Directions
Take a pan and pour 1/2 cup of oil and add cumin seeds.
After the seeds cracked add chopped onion, ginger garlic paste, green chili.
Saute the onion until it turns into golden color.
Now add the chopped tomato and stir until mushy.
Add all the spice ingredients with salt and mix well.
Chop the spinach lengthwise and add it in the pan.
Stir fry the spinach for 2 minutes then cover the pan with lid.
Cook the spinach with 1/3 cup of water for 3 – 4 minutes in low flame.
Now oil is coming out from the spinach mix then add the sliced paneer.
Stir well and cook for 5 minutes with lids covered.
Add 1/3 cup water, cream or milk and stir for 2 minutes.
Palak Paneer Ready.
Serve the palak paneer with chappathi or roti.
Notes
If you are using fresh paneer fry the paneer separately in oil before you add to the pan.
