நீர் மோர் – Neer Moru – spiced Buttermilk
Neer moru is a traditional healthy summer drink which reduces the body heat. Neer mor acts as a cleanser and good for hydration. You can serve neer moru as an appetizer as well.

Ingredients for Neer Moru
Thick curd/ yogurt – 1 cup
Green chilli – 1
Curry leaves – 1 + 1 spring
Ginger – 1/2 tbs
Cilantro – 1 tbs
Roasted cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
Water – 1 cup
Oil – 1 tsp
Mustard seeds – 1/4 tsp
Hing – 1/4 tsp
Salt as needed
Directions
Take thick curd in a blender jar.
Add 1 spring curry leaves, cilantro, ginger pieces and chopped green chilli.
Also add salt and cumin powder then blend well.
Pour 1 cup of water and give again a mix.
Filter the blended butter milk.
Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds.
After the seeds cracked add curry leaves.
Once the leaves popped switch off the flame.
Add the hing powder and mix well.
Now pour this mix to the butter milk.
Spicy butter milk ready.
Serve the butter milk in a copper glass.
Notes
Avoid green chilli when preparing for kids or if you have stomach issues.
Cumin powder cools the body.
You may skip the tempering step and consume fresh as well.

Pour moru in a bowl 
Heat oil in a pan 
Add mustard seeds 
Once seed cracks, add curry leaves 
Fry until leaves pops 
Switch off flame and add hing 
Mix well 
Pour tempered ingredients in moru 
Pour in a glass and serve 
Buttermilk ready
