முட்டைகோஸ் (Muttakose)
Muttakose is a sweet snack popular in southern part of Tamil Nadu. This is a mild sweet snack, which is made by all purpose flour, rava and egg. This have so many names like vettu cake, tea kadai kajada, sweet bonda. This tea kadai mutta cake’s batter is easy to prepare and quick time snack.
Ingredients for Muttakose
All purpose flour – 1 cup
Rava – 1/2 cup
Sugar – 1/2 cup
Egg – 1
Cardamom – 3
Baking soda – 2 pinch
Salt – 1 pinch
Directions
Add sugar and cardamom in a mixie jar.
Blend well and crack an egg into the jar.
Again blend the jar until well mixed.
Take all purpose flour, rava, baking soda and salt in a mixing bowl.
Pour the blended ingredients and start kneading.
Add 3 tbs of water and knead into soft dough.
Rest the dough for 15 minutes.
Heat oil in a frying pan.
Turn the flame into completely low.
Pinch a small size ball and make round.
Put the dough into oil and fry until completely cooked.
Fry all the remaining dough in the same way.
Tea kadai Muttakose ready.
Notes
Don’t need to shape the dough without crack. Crack forms by itself if the consistency is good.
Cook the dough in low flame gives best results.

Beat well to get a nice mix 
Take rava, flour, baking soda and salt 
Pour egg/sugar mix 
Knead the flour 

Pour water 3tbsp water and knead 
Dough ready; Let it rest for 15 mins 
Heat oil in a frying pan 
Take small amount of dough 
Shape it in hand like a ball 
Don’t add crack 
Place the ball in oil 
Fry in low flame 
Turn sides 
Crack forms nicely 
Take out when color changes 
Take all out and continue until done
