Mushroom Bajji

காளான் பஜ்ஜி (Mushroom Bajji)

Mushroom Bajji is an easy evening snack option and a best recipe for people who loves bajji / fried snack / mushroom. This can be prepared quickly and a beginners recipe!

Ingredients for Mushroom Bajji

Besan – 1 1/2 cup
Mushroom – 2/ 3 cup sliced (80 g)
Chilli powder – 1 tbs
Pepper powder – 1 tsp
Cumin powder – 1 tsp
Baking soda – 1/4 tsp
Hing – pinch
Salt as needed

Directions

Take all the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix well.
Now pour 1/4 cup of water and make a thick batter.
Wash the mushroom in the water.
Slice the mushroom if you have whole mushroom (Sliced mushroom shown in the picture).
Add sliced mushroom into the batter.
Give a good mix and leave that for 10 to 15 minutes.
Mushroom leave some water, so don’t add too much water.
Heat oil in shallow pot and fry the mushrooms.
Turn sides once color changes.
Take bajji out once bubble stops.
காளான் பஜ்ஜி ready.
Serve Bajji in a plate!
