பால் ரொட்டி – Milk Bread
Milk bread is a basic bread recipe that uses simple ingredients. After baking this white bread at home, I stopped buying it from the store. It’s easy to prepare and delicious as well. My kids love this soft & spongy bread, they’re just eating the plain bread that is not even toasted.
Ingredients for Milk Bread
All purpose flour – 3 cups
Milk – 1 cup
Sugar – 1/3 cup
Oil – 1/4 cup
Yeast – 3/4 tbs
Salt – 3/4 tsp
Directions
Pre Preparation
Mix milk and sugar in a pan, then warm the milk.
Take yeast in a mixing bowl.
Pour 1 tbs of warm milk into the yeast bowl.
Mix the yeast until it dissolves.
Then pour the remaining milk into yeast bowl.
Wait for 10 minutes or until the creamy foam texture comes.
Dough Preparation
Add all purpose flour in a separate mixing bowl.
Add all the other ingredients including foamy yeast.
Mix everything well and start kneading for at least 10 minutes.
Grease a bowl with oil and place the dough.
Cover the dough with a towel and keep it in warm place for 2 hours.
Resting Time
Dough is raised into double the size, give a slight punch and release the air.
Knead the dough again for 5 minutes.
Shape the dough into loaf pan shape using rolling pin.
Grease the loaf pan with oil and place the dough into the loaf pan.
Let the dough to rest again for 30 minutes.
Baking Bread
Pre-heat the oven into 350° F.
Place the loaf pan into the pre-heated oven.
Bake the bread for 30-35 minutes or until the top turns golden brown.
Take out the (பால் பிரெட்) bread and let it cool down completely.
Slice the bread into small slices.
Milk bread ready.
