காரக் கடலை (Kaara Kadalai)
Kaara Kadalai is usually sold in theatres in southern part of Tamil Nadu. Preparing it at home is very easy. Find simple easy to follow instructions here. This fried spicy peanut goes well with evening tea.
Ingredients for Kaara Kadalai
Peanuts / Ground nut – 1 cup
Chilli powder – 1 tsp
Curry leaves – 1 spring
Oil for frying + 1/2 tsp
Salt as needed
Directions
Heat oil in a frying pan.
When oil is ready add peanuts and fry until the bubbles stop.
Take out the fried peanuts in a paper towel and leave it for a while.
Continue the same for all batch.
Now fry the curry leaves.
Take a pan and add 1/2 tsp oil.
When oil is heated, switch off the flame and add chilli powder and salt.
Mix the chilli powder until well combined with oil.
Finally add the fried peanuts to the chilli masala.
Mix everything well.
Theater style kaara kadalai ready to serve.

Place it in paper towel to dry extra oil

Add chilli podwer when oil heated 
Add salt 
Mix well 
Add fried peanuts 
Add fried curry leaves 
Spicy peanut is ready 
Serve in a bowl
