In the meantime boil one cup of water in a separate pan
Now pour the boiled water little by little to the big pan
Stir continuously without stopping
Now add 1/2 cup of sugar little by little
Pour the Caramel syrup and cashews then mix well
If the halwa doesn’t release ghee after a minute add 2 tsp of ghee
Stir that for a minute and switch off the flame

Notes

This is not as same as Thirunelveli Halwa and does not need of soaking wheat.
For best results, you have to do Caramel syrup making, boiling water, big pan preparation at the same time.
Sometimes, preparing small quantity of caramel syrup will not yield desired result. In this case, make double the amount and use half of the syrup to the halwa.
Don’t over cook the syrup as the color will become black
For a best taste, don’t eat the halwa immediately; allow halwa to release ghee for about 15 minutes.
Good and quick sweet for surprise guests!
