குழம்பு மசால் (Homemade Masala Large Quantity)

Homemade Masala Large Quantity needs commercial machine to grind but it gives fine result. Find the recipe for the same here.

Ingredients

Red chilli – 1 kg
Cumin seeds – 200g
Black pepper – 200g
Coriander seeds – 800g
Fenugreek – 200g
Hing – 4 small piece
Toor dal – 1/4 cup
Boiled rice – 1/4 cup
Turmeric – 4 pieces

Directions

Remove the stems from the chilli and dry it in full sun for one day.
Except red chili and turmeric dry fry all the other ingredients one by one.
Keep the flame low and fry until the color changes. 
Transfer all the ingredients including red chili into a box.
Grind the masala in a commercial grinding machine. 
Keep the masala open until morning (don’t close the masala immediately with lid, it will make steam).
Keep the masala in sun light for another day for long self life.
