Guacamole
Guacamole is an Avocado based dip or spread first developed in Mexico. This Guacamole is traditionally made by mashing ripe Avocado with sea salt in mortar and pestle. This guacamole is the best match for tortilla chips. My family is completely addicted for this dip.
Ingredients for Guacamole
Avocado – 3 big or 4 medium size
Red onion – 1/3 cup (finely chopped)
Lime juice – 1.5 tbs
Tomato – 1 chopped
Cilantro – 1 tbs (chopped)
Black pepper powder – 1 tsp
Jalapeño – 1
Salt as needed
Directions
Remove the skin and seed off of the Avocado.
Easy way is to use spoon to scoop the avocado out.
Place the avocado in a mixing bowl.
Mash the Avocado into chunks.
Chop the red onion and rinse it in water.
Also chop the Jalapeño into small pieces.
Then chop the tomatoes into small pieces as well.
Add the chopped onion, tomatoes, jalapeño, cilantro, black pepper powder, lime juice and salt to mixing bowl.
Mix everything well.
Guacamole ready.
Serve the avocado dip with chips.
Notes
Avocado is the main ingredient for this recipe.
Don’t buy black spotted Avocado.
Ripe avocado is perfect for this recipe.
If the avocado is not ripen, keep the avocado with banana or apple in a paper bag and seal it then keep the bag for 1 day will ripe the avocado well.
Depends on your taste mash the avocado into paste or chunks.
You may chop the avocado into small pieces as well.
