முட்டை இல்லா வெனிலா கேக் (Eggless Vanilla Cake)
Eggless Vanilla Cake is prepared without egg and is easy with simple ingredients. I usually make this cake if guests doesn’t eat egg. The instructions are given in detail and easy to follow even for the first timers with step by step pictures.
Ingredients Eggless Vanilla Cake
All purpose flour (Maida) – 3/4 cup
Yogurt (Curd) – 1/2 cup
Granulated Sugar – 1/3 cup
Baking soda – 1/4 tsp
Baking powder – 3/4 tsp
Cooking oil – 1/4 cup
Vanilla extract– 1 tsp
Milk – 1/2 tbsp
Directions
Preparing Batter
Pre-heat the oven to 400°F (200 °c).
Sift all the dry ingredients.
Take a mixing bowl and add the curd and sugar.
Mix well until they turned into cream.
Now pour the oil and vanilla extract and mix well.
Now add the sifted dry ingredients little by little and mix well.
Preparing Cake
Transfer the batter to a buttered pan.
Place the pan in the pre-heated oven and bake for 10 minutes.
Reduce the oven heat to 350° F(180°c).
Brush the milk on top of the cake.
Bake for another 20 minutes or until done (insert toothpick in the cake check whether it comes out clean).
Leave the cake in pan for 10 minutes.
Invert the cake then slice it and serve.
Eggless cake ready.
Notes
Use 1qt pan for this recipe.
Applying milk on top with brush changes the color of the cake to brown little bit; it also gives nice finishing to the cake.
