பொரிச்ச கருவாடு – Poricha Karuvadu – Dry Fish Poriyal
Dry Fish Poriyal / Poricha karuvadu is an easy recipe and it takes very less time to prepare. This is my family’s favorite recipe and egg omelette goes well with this recipe. Sometimes I prepare karuvadu thokku with tomato. But I avoid tomato in this version and use green chili. The combination of chopped small onions and green chilli gives nice aroma. Select best quality karuvadu for best results.
Ingredients for Dry Fish Poriyal
Dry fish (Karuvadu) – 2 big pieces
Small onion – 1 cup (chopped)
Green chilli – 4
Sesame oil – 1/4 cup
Salt as needed
Directions
Soak the dry fish for 30 mins.
Chop onions lengthwise.
Take a big wok and pour oil.
Add chopped onion and green chilli then saute for 2 minutes.
Slice the dry fish and add to the wok.
Layer the dry fish in between the onion.
Cover the wok and cook for 5 to 10 minutes in medium flame.
Dry fish already have salt, so add salt finally according to the need.
Poricha Karuvadu ready.
