க்ரீமி ஷெல் பாஸ்தா (Creamy Shell Pasta)
Creamy Shell Pasta is a delicious dish that my son prepared with the help of my husband on the occasion to celebrate women’s day. Initially when my son told that he will prepare this recipe, I did not like it. But when he prepared, the outcome was really good. Everyone liked the recipe. It tastes good when served hot.
Ingredients for Creamy Shell Pasta
Medium Pasta Shells – 8 oz
Ground Beef – 250 grms
Beef Stock – 2 cups
Olive Oil – 1 tbsp
Onion – 1 medium size
Garlic – 1 clove
Italian Seasoning – 1 1/2 tsp
All Purpose Flour – 2 tbsp
Tomato Sauce – 14 oz
Heavy Cream – 2/3 cup
Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese – 1 1/2 cups
Ground Black Pepper – 1 tsp
Salt as needed
Directions
Pre-preparation
Take a pot, add water and salt; Heat in high flame.
Add pasta shells and cook well; Drain water.
Chop onion and mince garlic.
Take a pan and pour olive oil.
Add ground beef and stir well.
Cook until color changes to brown.
Drain extra fat and keep cooked beef aside.
Prepare Creamy Pasta
Now add onion in the pan and saute for a minute.
Add minced garlic and italian seasoning and mix well.
Continue to saute until onion color changes to brown.
Now add flour in the pan and stir until color changes to brown.
Add tomato sauce and mix well.
Now pour beef stock and bring to boil.
Once the mix boils, reduce the flame to low.
Stir occasionally until sauce thickens.
Now add cooked beef, pasta shell and mix well.
Cook for a minute and add salt, black pepper.
Pour heavy cream and mix well.
Finally add shredded cheese and mix gently.
Switch off flame once cheese melted.
Creamy Shell Pasta ready.
Serve in a bowl.
Notes
Use Chicken stock and ground chicken if you don’t eat beef.
You can use chopped / diced tomato instead of tomato sauce.
If you like garlic flavor, use 2 cloves of garlic; you can use crushed garlic.
It tastes better when you serve hot.
