Breakfast Biscuit
Breakfast Biscuit also known as American biscuits are small, fluffy quick breads, leavened with baking powder or buttermilk and served with butter and jam or gravy. They are close to what the British would call scones. … To most of the rest of the English-speaking world, a biscuit is what Americans would refer to as either a cookie or a cracker.
Makes : 4 and half biscuit
Serves : 2
Ingredients
All purpose flour – 1 cup
Sugar – 1 tsp
Baking powder – 1.5 tsp
Salt – 1/4 tsp
Butter – 3 tbsp
Whole milk – 1/2 cup
Directions
Pre heat the oven into 450 degrees Fahrenheit
Take a mixing bowl and add flour, salt, sugar, baking powder and mix well
Slice the butter into small pieces
Smash the butter with fingers into the flour as shown in the picture
Add milk little by little and knead the dough
Now roll the dough with one inch thickness
Cut the dough with a cookie cutter or lid
If you don’t want to cut in a particular shape, just shape it with your hand
Place the dough in a buttered pan and put it in the pre-heated oven
Bake the dough for 10 – 12 minutes
While baking in the half way brush some melted butter on the top of the biscuit
Serve the biscuit with Jam or Sausage gravy

Serve this biscuit with full boiled egg as sandwich
