Mango Lassi

மேங்கோ லஸ்ஸி (Mango Lassi)

Mango lassi is a curd based mango milkshake or smoothie. It can be prepared either with canned mango pulp / cubes or using fresh ripe sweet mango. Lassi is a kids favorite recipe and it’s good to serve as dessert after a feast. Home made lassi is way cheaper than store bought.

Ingredients for Mango Lassi

Mango – 2 cups (sliced)
Curd/ yogurt – 2 cups
Sugar – 1/2 cup 
Cardamom powder –  1/2 tsp (optional)

Directions

Add chopped mango pieces into a blender jar. 
Blend the mangoes into fine paste. 
Add curd into the blender and blend again until well mixed. 
Now add sugar and cardamom powder into the blender and blend one more time. 
Mango Lassi ready. 
Keep the lassi in refrigerator or serve it as is. 
Serve the மேங்கோ லஸ்சி in a glass. 
Garnish some mango pieces/ nuts over the drink if you like. 

Notes

If you’re using thick curd, add 1/2 cup of water and blend until well mixed. 
Adjust the sugar level according to your mango’s sweetness.
Avoid using sour curd for this recipe. 
Serve with straw for drinking if you prefer.
