French Toast Roll-ups

French toast roll-ups is a kids favorite recipe. I always wish to prepare this roll ups using homemade jam. French toast is a dish made of sliced bread soaked in beaten eggs and typically milk, then pan fried. In French toast roll ups we may spread different ingredients like cream cheese, peanut butter, Nutella as well.
This is one of the best option for breakfast and brunch. 

Ingredients for French Toast Roll-ups

Bread slices – 4-6
Egg – 1
Sugar – 1 tbs
Milk – 3 tbs
Vanilla extract – 1 tsp 
Butter for toasting
Jam as needed 

For Cinnamon Sugar

Sugar – 4 tbs
Cinnamon powder – 1/2 tbs

Directions

Rolling

Cut the edges of the bread as shown in picture. 
Roll the bread very thinly using rolling pin. 
Spread jam over the  bread slice.
Roll the slice into tight roll and seal the edges. 
Do the same for every slice.

Egg Mixture

Crack an egg in a bowl and beat well.
Add milk, sugar and vanilla extract. 
Mix everything well. 

Toasting

Heat a pan and grease with some butter. 
Dip the rolls in the egg mixture. 
Place the dipped rolls over the heated pan.
Flip the rolls to all sides and allow that to cook completely. 
Take out the rolls when done.

Spreading Cinnamon Sugar

Mix sugar and cinnamon powder in a bowl. 
Transfer the mixture into a plate for easy handling.
Place the French toast over the cinnamon sugar. 
Let the mixture spread all over the rolls. 
French toast roll ups ready.
Serve the French toast roll ups with Maple syrup. 

Notes

Use plain bread for this recipe. 
Use big bowl for dipping. 
You may use whatever jam you like. 
I used homemade strawberry jam here.
You may replace jam with cream cheese, Nutella or peanut butter.
