Pasta Salad

பாஸ்தா சாலட் (Pasta Salad)

Pasta salad is a salad dish prepared with one or more types of pasta, almost always chilled and most often tossed in a vinegar, oil or mayonnaise based dressing. It is typically served as an appetiser, side dish or a main course. I used Olive Garden brand Italian salad dressing for this recipe, my family loves this salad.

Ingredients for Pasta Salad

Pasta – 1.5 cups 
Broccoli – 1 cup
Green bell pepper – 1/2(chopped)
Red bell pepper – 1/2(chopped)
Grape tomato – 1/2 cup 
Red onion – 1/2 (sliced lengthwise)
Parmesan cheese – 1/2 cup
Italian salad dressing – 1/2 cup

Directions

Cook the pasta with salt and water. 
Drain the cooked pasta and rinse in running water. 
Separate the broccoli into small pieces with hands.
Slice the grape tomato into round shape pieces. 
Add all the chopped veggies into a large mixing bowl. 
Then add cheese and salad dressing and mix well.
Pasta salad ready.
Keep the salad in refrigerator and serve chill.

Notes

I used multi color spiral pasta, you may use any different types of pasta for this recipe. 
You can add whatever veggies you like, most of them add olives in this salad. 
Also you may add regular tomato instead of grape tomatoes. 
Whole grape tomatoes can be added as is to this salad.
I tried big shallots for this salad one time, combination of the shallot onion and Italian salad dressing tastes so good.
